A brand new Inverness-area triathlon club that has emerged from a few friends entering some events in early 2010. Triathlon Inverness is a new club founded at the end of 2010 by a small group of friends. The story starts in the depths of winter when Anna MacArthur and Jane Pottie started swimming together regularly and had the brainwave of competing in some triathlons. They spent the summer clocking up a number of events from Bishopbriggs Novice triathlon to our local duathlon the Monster Challenge.

Our website generates interest in the club, provides up to date information for our members and has had nothing but praise from the club and triathlon community across the UK”

Jane Pottie, Chairperson

As the year went on we roped more friends into our enthusiastic endeavours with more first timers trying out the Aberdeenshire series.  They finished the season by dipping my toes into my first open-water triathlon in the warm Mediterranean, competing in the Barcelona Sprint.

The Galipaygos are an Inverness-based band that I just happen to play fiddle in. The band had a great 2010 with many memorable gigs. A recent highlight was playing the main stage at the Belladrum festival. The coming year will hopefully see a new album release, fingers crossed.

The site is looking great, good work fella!”
